Luau and weekend cool off !

It was a busy busy weekend.  Jason and Michelle organized an incredible luau party!  Our friends and organizers of Analise’s Garden of Hope benefit, this family knows how to do it.  The weather was perfect, 80′s and low humidity.  All the food, drinks, and desserts made for a complete party.  Pony rides for the kids started off  the party and the main event of Hula dancers highlighted the Luau!  As soon as pictures and video become available, we’ll post the link….

The kids had an incredible time.  Fortunately, the kids napped early and we fully-charged for the event.  Sophia and Analise enjoyed their time swimming and playing with all the kids.  They slept like logs that night, thank God.

Yesterday was typical outdoor project day.  Started with cutting the lawn.  Then dragged into pool by Sophia and Analise.   They were off to a Amy’s bridal shower and I had the day to myself.  After running some errands, I came home to powerwash our deck.  Between pre-luau workout, the hula dancing contest (pics and video to post this week!), and powerwashing, i was drained.  I only powerwashed our small portion of cedar fencing in Tinley Park, so doing our deck is new ground for me.  After 2.5hrs, I had only completed about 1/2 the deck and stopped for dinner. I’ll be back to it this week and then we’ll be finalizing our new stain choices.

I’m off to work.  Have a good Fourth of July week and God Bless!

2009 Frankfort Neighborhood Softball Challenge

Today is Saturday, June 27th, 2009.  We’re preparing for Olivia’s 5th birthday luau party!….Lots of food and drinks being prepared for and at the Jason and Michelle’s.

Also, last night I helped update the website for the upcoming 2009 Frankfort Neighborhood Softball Challenge.  Our subdivision softball team won last year’s tournament and graciously picked Analise for this year’s fundraising beneficiary.  Right now there’s a lot going on trying to organize the tournament, activities, obtain sponsors, and etc.  If anyone would like to volunteer, become a sponsor, donate services (jumpies, facepainting, dj, food, drink, etc), or have any questions, please contact Kevin Burns @ 708 703-0198 or email him at barkrealtyservices@comcast.net.  More information about the tournament can be found at,

If anyone would like to contact me, please feel free to contact me @ 708.932.3945 or email me at rdeanching@gmail.com.

Need to squeeze a workout before the luau.  Gotta cut some weight or else they are going to hoist me up over a firepit like a ‘baboy’ or ‘lechon’…. filipino (tagalog dialect) for ‘PIG’….

Stay cool this weekend and God Bless!

06.26.09…..Friday!

Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson passed away yesterday.  Ed McMahon earlier this week.  The rule of 3′s upheld.  May they all rest in peace.  May most of all media frenzy about each focus on the good each brought to this world.

Today is Friday and it’s going to be another hot day.  Thank you to Tim from Central Collision in Mokena for making sure our minivan is in good shape from the bodywork down to the alignment.  Thanks for going the extra mile(s) to make sure all is good with the work they performed and all alignment specs are in order.

A big thanks to Matt who will be moving onto another team.  He lead our team for the last couple years.  Professionally and personally he was always a positive and encouraging person to be around and work with.  Thank you and good luck in your new role and new team.

Must get back to work.  Have a good weekend, stay cool, and God Bless!

06.21.09….happy father’s day, THANK YOU !

Happy Father’s Day !

I need to send out an overdue thank you to Diane Hays for the thoughts, prayers and kindness they have shown Analise and our family.  We’ve all been so overwhelmed by all the acts of kindness and thoughtfulness from those who have heard of Analise’s fight with cancer.  THANK YOU.  Diane and her family learned of Analise through Jon Cabela.  They work together and he shared Analise’s story.

Another big thanks must go out to the Seventh Avenue School Parent Teacher Organization.  This is the school attended by Erwin and Maggie’s kids, Ethan and Mia.  Their school learned of Analise’s condition and wanted to help contribute.  They held a walk-athon and proceeds collected were donated to the Analise Jordan Deanching benefit fund.  I haven’t had a chance to personally thank anyone, but wanted to make sure that we recognize and thank them.  THANK YOU.

Have a good week and God Bless!

06.19.09….. chemo went as usual…

Analise had chemo today.  It went as well as expected with a little nausea here and there.  Otherwise, she had a good day w/ her nurses, Fran, Mary Ellen and Dana.

Beyond that, weather continued to be hot and humid with thunderstorms coming through the area.

By the way, if anyone knows of anyone interested in a lightly used 16gb white iphone 3G, I have one for sale, $350 or best offer…

Have a happy and safe Father’s Day weekend.  Good night and God Bless!
